“Creando y Programando”: Teaching Computational Thinking Through Experiential Learning

I have been conducting research and working directly with rural communities in Colombia to teach coding and computational thinking in engaging and motivating ways.

To make the concepts more accessible, I developed a methodology that begins with unplugged activities, allowing participants to grasp key ideas in a fun and interactive way before transitioning to computer-based tasks. Through this hands-on, experiential approach, I aim to inspire a greater diversity of individuals to explore computing.

I have worked in collaboration with Colombiando, a foundation of experiential and outdoor learning.
